Comfort Arthur

It’s rare to come across a director who is both grounded yet confident in their abilities. Comfort Arthur, award-winning animation director occupies this space to create stories that are consistently charming. In 2012, she moved to Ghana to become a film editor and set up The Comfy Studio, a multimedia studio that produces content that focuses on socially related topics such as sexual harassment, skin bleaching and mental health issues. Her short animated film Black Barbie, which has been screened at international festivals around the world, explores the filmmakers experience with skin bleaching growing up as a child.
