“Many people talk about a glass ceiling, Frances proved there was no ceiling, especially one made of glass.” These were John Hegarty’s words after Royle Productions Founder, Frances Royle, passed away last year. “I will miss her enormously,” he added. Royle’s career history is impressive to say the least. She founded her own company in 2012, after a 24-year stint at BBH where she progressed from receptionist (a job she moved on from after just a month) to head of the agency’s TV department.

“She started Royle Productions to offer production in a new way,” explains Clark. “The whole industry was changing and she wanted to be part of it.” Now in charge of the company, Marcon and Clark juggle a variety of clients, both agencies and brands, all while keeping Royle’s philosophy of craft and rigour at the heart of everything they do.
