Jamaica: All the Places We Will Visit – The Founders’ Journey.
Over the past weeks, I have been sharing stories from across Jamaica through our new campaign, Jamaica: All the Places We Will Visit.
From the hills of St. Ann and the sunsets of Negril to the rivers of Portland and the creativity of Kingston, these stories are more than simply places to visit. They are an invitation to experience Jamaica through the people, communities, culture, creativity, and traditions that make our island so special.
As the campaign continues to grow, I am delighted to share the next stage of the journey.
For more than a decade, The Pitch Fanzine has connected creative people across the UK and Jamaica through storytelling, creativity, and meaningful collaboration. The Founders’ Journey is the next chapter in that vision, bringing people together in person to spark collaborations, inspire new ideas, and create opportunities for future generations.
A small number of invited guests from The Pitch Fanzine community will have the opportunity to join us for a unique ten-day experience across Jamaica as part of The Founders’ Journey.
This will be an opportunity to experience Jamaica in a deeper, more meaningful way while building genuine relationships with people, communities, entrepreneurs, creatives, educators, and future leaders who are helping to shape the island’s future.
Each guest will be invited because they have a story to share, knowledge to exchange, and a genuine curiosity to learn from Jamaica and contribute to the conversations that will help shape our shared futures. Throughout the journey, there will be opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships.
Guests will travel with us across several parishes, beginning in St. Ann, where we will spend time in local communities and schools before continuing to Negril, Portland, and Kingston.
Road trip.
Along the way, we will support Jamaican-owned businesses, explore Jamaica’s extraordinary natural beauty, meet inspiring leaders, and spend time discussing creativity, education, well-being, entrepreneurship, and our creative futures.
A central part of the experience will be our Pitch Futures Jamaica initiative.
Pitch Futures students from the UK will also visit Jamaica to meet their future collaborators, build friendships, understand the communities they will be working alongside, and gain a deeper appreciation for the people, culture, and stories that make Jamaica unique.
We believe the strongest collaborations are built on genuine relationships, and there is no substitute for spending time together, listening, learning, and sharing experiences face-to-face.
Throughout the journey, guests will participate in creative workshops, community conversations, cultural experiences, and opportunities to contribute ideas that will inspire future collaborations and long-term partnerships.
The Pitch Fanzine Founders’ Journey will be intentionally small, allowing us to build a trusted community of kind, curious, and purpose-driven people who share a commitment to creativity, education, cultural exchange, and positive impact.
Our experiences will be photographed and filmed as short documentaries to share with our creative world through Pitch TV, Pitch Magazine, our Wednesdays at 2:30pm Newsletter, our WhatsApp communities, social media, and The Pitch Fanzine platform, inspiring future visitors and encouraging meaningful connections with Jamaica.
Our vision is simple.
To create a new pathway for people to experience the heart and soul of Jamaica through its people, culture, creativity, and communities while building meaningful connections between Jamaica and the wider world.
To inspire future talent, support communities, create opportunities, and remind us that some of the most valuable journeys are measured by the people we meet along the way.
This is only the beginning.
Jamaica is calling, and we cannot wait to share the journey with you.
We are entering a new era of knowledge-sharing, creativity, collaboration, and human connection.
Time, to create our new futures.
Best wishes,
