The Ethan Marsh Show, Part 1.
In part 1 of Pitch Futures with The Ethan Marsh Show, Ethan Marsh interviewed his aunt, Esther Deans MBE; his former teacher, Bradley Martin, Head of Year at The City Academy, Hackney; and Sherry Collins, Jamaican Freedom Fighter, and Founder of The Pitch Fanzine and Pitch Futures.
Esther Deans MBE is a Teacher, Educator, Activist, Creator, and Co-Founder and education lead of the One Bristol Curriculum.
Esther was part of the original elected 12 Mayoral Commissioners for CORE and the former Chair of REEG, SACRE, and Support Against Racism and Inequality.
With over 33 years in education and equality campaigning, Esther was awarded an MBE for her commitment to working within communities and has worked alongside contemporaries such as Sir Paul Stephenson OBE, Lord Marvin Rees, and The Dean of Westminster, The Very Revd Dr John Hall.
Esther’s motto is “Our greatness is in the difference we make in the world each day, even a smile can change a life.”

Bradley Martin is Head of Year and English Teacher at The City Academy, Hackney.
A Londoner who grew up in Bethnal Green, Bradley started his early career in retail, working his way up to management, but always wanted to be a teacher. The opportunity came in 2018, when he pursued his dream and now supports young people on their educational journeys.
An inspiration and a role model, Bradley is loved; so much so that his students surprised him by showing up at his recent wedding.
Bradley’s other passions are writing R&B songs, singing, and poetry.
Pitch Futures with The Ethan Marsh Show is an opportunity for our future creative talent to gain insights into the creative industries and how podcasts are created.
A chance to learn new skills in interviewing, collaborating with creative teams, meeting deadlines, and showing up as their authentic selves.
Pitch Futures students in the UK will, in time, meet with Pitch Futures students in Jamaica, their future work colleagues and collaborators.
Sherry Collins’ interview will be shared in our end-of-year newsletter next week.
Time, to create our new futures.
We are in a knowledge-sharing evolution, creating a new world.
Best wishes,
