Stephen Josephs is an amazing Jamaican.

For Stephen Josephs, the spirit of service began during his childhood.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Stephen grew up in a family where helping others was simply part of everyday life. His parents, Deloris and Edward Josephs, believed deeply in the principle of service above self, often taking their children with them on visits to support people in need, feed the homeless, check in on the sick, and offer help wherever it was needed. Through their example, Stephen and his siblings learned early that compassion is most powerful when it is paired with action.

That early foundation of service would later shape Stephen’s life and work in extraordinary ways.

Today, Stephen is widely recognised for his humanitarian work supporting burn victims and families facing crisis across Jamaica. Together with his brother, Luke Josephs, he co-founded the Burn Foundation of Jamaica and the Crisis Support Charity, organisations dedicated to helping people in their most difficult moments.

Best wishes,
