Hello, I am Ethan Marsh.

I was born in Hackney, London, to parents of West Indian descent; the first generation of our family to be born in the UK after my grandparents’ arrival as part of the Windrush generation.

I am both a proud Antiguan and Jamaican.

Being surrounded by a Caribbean family has had a profound impact on my life and continues to shape and mould me into the person I am becoming.

From an early age, I have always seen myself working within the creative industries, which has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.

Many said that I sang before I could talk, and danced before I could walk.

Some of my fondest memories are of watching The Wiz at the age of 3, starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, and Lena Horne, with the musical soundtrack by Quincy Jones.

Seeing representation at such an early age was very important; it showed me that I, too, could be destined for greatness.

To this day, it remains my favourite musical of all time, with the mantra “believe in yourself, not because I told you so”.

My training began at Stagecoach Performing Arts and continued at the Anna Fiorentini Performing Arts School. This journey led to the privilege of performing at Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace, alongside opportunities on both stage and television.

I've been fortunate to work with many talented individuals and perform in front of thousands.

At 8 years old, I had the opportunity to interview Geri Halliwell, singer, songwriter, television personality, author, and actress. I have also had the pleasure of working alongside singer, songwriter, and actress Alexandra Burke on the UK tour of the musical, The Bodyguard.

I have a deep passion for reading and writing poetry, taking inspiration from Maya Angelou, Paul Laurence Dunbar, James Weldon Johnson, and their contemporaries, particularly the poets of the Harlem Renaissance.

I hope to continue my career on both stage and screen, leaving a lasting impression on all whom I have the pleasure of performing in front of and reading my work.
